Emergence of EM Bypass as the new Central Kolkata

Every time I pass along EM Bypass, I feel something beyond just moving from one part of the city to another. This stretch serves as a narrative of Kolkata’s transformation and mirrors my own journey in real estate communication and creativity.

Years ago, the Bypass was merely a connector between the South Kolkata suburb and the airport. Today, it has become the new “Central Kolkata.” What was once the city’s periphery has now turned into its focal point, because this corridor connects the north and south with equal ease and holds within it the finest blend of healthcare, hospitality, retail, and modern residences. It’s a place where the city feels different, where lifestyle and aspiration align with infrastructure and opportunity. Looking around, I see world-class hospitals creating a healthcare hub, luxury hotels transforming the hospitality industry, so many malls thriving with activity, and residential towers standing tall.

Every time I pass along EM Bypass, I see more than just buildings… I see stories. My stories… Many of these towers and developments feel familiar because I have been linked to them over the years—sometimes through visuals, sometimes through creative direction, and sometimes through collaboration. This quiet presence across so many landmarks humbles me and gives me a strong sense of belonging. I don’t just notice the buildings; I recognize the dreams of developers like Srijan, PS Group, Siddha, and others, brought to life through teamwork and imagination. Each tower is like a brushstroke, and each skyline is a canvas where design, technology, and storytelling come together in harmony. 

As an artist at heart and a real estate professional by trade, I feel a strong connection to this corridor. To me, EM Bypass is a living canvas. Each structure tells a story of how far this city has come and how much further it dares to dream. Being part of that journey, helping shape the city’s future, is both my privilege and my passion.
